The mountain hut is located in a panoramic position on the Resinelli plateau, at the foot of the Southern Grigna, with a view that sweeps from the Valsassina mountains to Lake Lecco, finally to the Po Valley.
Soldanella can be reached by car, motorbike, bicycle or on foot. You can stop before or after an excursion to enjoy a snack of local products, or stop for lunch or dinner with our traditional dishes that we enrich with genuine aromas and flavours.
Here you will find friendliness and hospitality, solutions for several days’ holiday in a pleasantly relaxing atmosphere.
In our large dining rooms overlooking the valley, we celebrate special moments, such as corporate team building, weddings, communions, get-togethers with friends, etc.
The availability is for about 90 people; we also have a balcony with an additional 30 seats for those who appreciate dining al fresco.
The 4 double rooms and 1 quadruple room are all equipped with bathroom and TV. For those who wish, wi-fi connection is available in the common rooms, while the balconies-solariums are an ideal “relaxation area”.
The Refuge has proposals suitable for groups (such as the high definition video projection room) and for individual needs with a private car park opposite.
For children, we have created a play area in the courtyard and a room with books and board games.
The kitchen offers daily children’s menus with simple, wholesome dishes.
There are numerous activities to try: the educational farm at the Pian delle Fontane farm where you can come into contact with animals and the organic production of cheese; the Resinelli Adventure Park offers a range of summer and winter activities to experience; at the Resinelli mines you can discover a fascinating corner of local history; the Interactive Museum at the Valentino Park – (for all see under: Territory, Fun at the Resinelli).
In addition, the surrounding natural environment offers numerous opportunities to introduce children to the mountains in safety, with routes and sports opportunities suitable for their age.
The Refuge was built back in 1899 as the first shelter at the foot of the Grigna by the Milanese mountaineering pioneers, and is still an excellent base for those who try their hand at the mountains, on more or less demanding walking or climbing routes.
For sportsmen and women, we have thought of energy breakfasts and refreshments that are equally robust but healthy, in line with the filosofia of those who go to the mountains and with the tradition of the area.
Like every alpine hut, the Soldanella hut assists mountaineers and hikers when necessary, either for simple rest or for real difficulties. In the event of an emergency, the hut acts as a reference point for rescue and related operations.
